Sarah F Janavicius has developed a career in Art ever since leaving Secondary School in 1972. In 1981 Sarah emigrated to Sydney, Australia, where she worked as a freelance and contract Graphic Designer. On returning to the UK, in 1991, completed a BTEC in Graphic Design. In January 2002 she completed both FAETC 7307 Stage 1 and Stage 2, teacher training certificates. Later, Sarah resumed study for a BA (Hons) Fine Art and a Master of Art in Fine Art degrees, graduating in 2017.
Sarah is a founder member of the Eagle Gallery, Bedford. She is also a member of the BAS, FP&AA, and an Associate member of the SEAW. She mainly paints in watercolours in a bright, bold style of her own. She also paints in mixed media and has developed a technique which she has named “Textural Collage”, being based on textures in the environment. At present she teaches in adult education, and special needs students. Sarah also delivers regular painting workshops and art demonstrations. These include subjects such as: Drawing & Painting for Beginners, Vibrant Watercolour Painting, Textural and Mixed Media Art, and Leisure Hobby Art and Craft.
