I completed a degree in Fine Art, majoring in Painting and Print-Making, in London during the late sixties and early seventies.
On leaving college I took up teaching becoming Head of Department at a Sixth Form College and a Senior Examiner for Art and Design.
On retiring I nervously took up producing Art again. Through my work I explore a range of ideas and approaches which are reflected in my oeuvre that varies from semi abstract to figurative.
My work is usually based on drawings from my sketch books and I develop visual ideas from there.
I ask myself two question when I think I have finished a piece of work.
Does it work?
Is it any good?
If my answer to those is yes, then I am done.
I work from my garden studio in Cornwall and welcome visitors, just ring or email
