I am a French stained glass artist with a specialization in glass painting.
I began my training in a prestigious Parisian stained glass workshop where I worked on
the restoration of the dome of the Galeries Lafayette in Paris. Later, I attended the Glass
School of Paris to further develop my skills in glass painting. After completing my
education, I worked for several Parisian workshops for two years before moving to
Bedford. Since then, I have been working as a painter for the renowned Reyntiens Glass
Studio in London and I also teach the art of Stained Glass at the Bedford Arts and Crafts
Centre.
I am passionate and I am constantly exploring new techniques and ideas to create unique
stained glass works of art. My artistic work delves into glass as a captivating and
challenging material. Glass, whether transparent, opaque, or textured, unveils its
imperfections with captivating uniqueness. Its colors transform based on the light source,
adding a dynamic dimension to my work.
My work, rooted in ancient craft, transcends any single tradition or style. Drawing
inspiration primarily from Art Deco architecture and furniture of the early 20th century,
characterized by clean, graphic shapes, I try to infuse my creations with a modern touch..
I also borrow my style from the earthenware crockery and decorated glazed tiles, which I
brings up to date with my lamp designs.
