I moved from Sweden over 20 years ago, did an Art and Design Degree at the University of Hertfordshire, and now live in Bedfordshire.
Since an early age I have felt a need to make art, inspired by colour, texture and shape to create. Photographs, life drawings and the landscape around me, all supply me with images. By using a variety of materials and methods, I can allow the work to take its own shape and size. Materials include wire, textiles, paint, wood and objects such as buttons and beads. I often use colour in a translucent and layered manner, exploring the coming and going of Time, which is of interest to me.
This visual expression, where playfulness and beauty can work together with some sort of narrative, is what I am aiming for.
