I graduated from Sir John Cass College of Art with a Degree in Silversmithing and Jewellery.
After college I was drawn back to working in 2D and my love of surface decoration. This led me to a career in textile design. I have spent the last 25 years working in the fashion industry, designing ladieswear prints for high street retailers.
The last year has given me more time at home, which I have spent painting for pleasure. Going back to a time when I worked with gouache and designed by hand.
I have enjoyed creating intricate pieces that reflect my love of Folk Art and Mexican Milagro Hearts.
I paint on Bristol Board with gouache, then hand cut my paintings before mounting them in box frames. This gives them a 3D quality and highlights their delicacy.
