Christine Gallagher

Christine Gallagher studied at West Cheshire College of Art and after moving to London in 1994, undertook various summer school courses at Chelsea School of Art and Wimbledon College of Art. Since then, she has continued to attend local drawing classes for recreation as well as running courses and workshops herself for post-16 students and adults who would like to learn new skills in the practice of creating art

The work she produces commercially is testament to her devotion to the subject and she is often commissioned to undertake portrait work of people and pets from those who have seen her work locally, as well as from family and friends.

Her work is mainly centred on portraiture, much of it undertaken in fine detailed works where she aims always to encompass something of a persons character in the finished work in addition to portraying an accurate likeness.
